Decarbonizing value chains
Agriculture, forestry, and other land use account for over 20% of global greenhouse gas emissions. Most of these originate from agricultural activities, including crop cultivation and livestock rearing, as well as from deforestation. Many being low margin activities which heavily rely on financing, grants and subsidies for transformation, a huge gap that C3 helps bridge.
Over 12% of global emissions are from manufacturing. An extremely diversified field, involving thousands of processes, chemicals and materials - mostly originating from petrochemicals. Due to its complexity, it is difficult and expensive to decarbonize, yet C3 can mitigate offtake risks of green feedstocks and technologies.
About 30% of global emissions come from electricity and heat production. Reducing these emissions is critical given the growing demand for electrification across all industries. In particular, industry processes are very hard to decarbonize, yet C3 helps unblock progress and close the net zero gap faster.
Over 15% of global emissions are from transportation in maritime, aviation, road and rail. The industry is already undergoing major decarbonization efforts. Batteries and e-fuels are gradually replacing fossil fuels. C3 reduces barriers and speeds up adoption, making green investments more profitable and less risky.
