About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

Hainan Airlines launched a drinking water filling control project with a self-developed management system for Boeing 787 aircraft, reducing water load by over 227 liters per flight. This achieved annual fuel savings of 136 tons for the type and 1,152 tons fleet-wide in 2023 through reduced aircraft weight. Evidence: "Through optimization, water consumption can be reduced by over 227 liters per flight for the Boeing 787 aircraft type, resulting in annual total fuel savings of 136 tons. In 2023, the whole fleet saved 1,152 tons of fuel in total." — https://www.hainanairlines.com/HUPortal/dyn/portal/DisplayPage?LANGUAGE=US&COUNTRY_SITE=RU&SITE=CBHZCBHZ&PAGE=GTSE
