About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Nissan Mexicana's Aguascalientes plants (A1 and A2) use biogas from municipal waste (since 2012), wind power from multiple farms (since 2013 and 2019), nuclear energy (2023-2024), and recent on-site solar PV at the A2 vehicle processing center. These sources enable over 90% of electricity from CO2-free sources, supporting assembly of millions of vehicles while avoiding substantial emissions. Evidence: "In 2012, Nissan’s Aguascalientes A1 plant became the first facility in Mexico—and within the global Renault-Nissan manufacturing network—to use biogas-derived energy from urban solid waste. In 2013, the plant incorporated wind energy from the Zopiloapan Wind Farm in Oaxaca, followed by additional supply from the La Amistad Wind Farm in Coahuila in 2019. Moreover, between 2023 and 2024, Nissan’s A1, A2, and CIVAC plants integrated nuclear energy from the Laguna Verde Nuclear Power Plant in Veracruz." — https://mexicobusiness.news/automotive/news/nissan-assembles-3-million-vehicles-co2-free-energy
