About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Asturiana de Zinc (Glencore subsidiary) commissioned a 28.7 MW on-site solar PV plant at its zinc smelter in San Juan de Nieva, Spain, on former waste ponds. The facility generates ~32.6 GWh annually for self-consumption, reducing grid electricity use and CO2 emissions by ~6,000 t/year. Evidence: "Spanish solar self-consumption specialist ISE Energia said it has commissioned a 28.72-MW on-site photovoltaic plant for Asturiana de Zinc (AZSA), Glencore plc’s electrolytic zinc plant in Spain's northern Asturias region. The new solar self-consumption installation is located on the site of former industrial waste ponds in El Espartal, near Salinas. The plant is expected to generate about 32.6 GWh of electricity annually, enabling AZSA to produce and consume its own power while reducing carbon dioxide emissions by around 6,000 tonnes per year." — https://renewablesnow.com/news/ise-energia-adds-28-7-mw-solar-farm-at-glencores-zinc-plant-in-spain-1297938/
