About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The BEAR project implements a pioneering hybrid end-fired regenerative furnace at Steklarna Hrastnik's production site in Hrastnik, Slovenia, increasing the electrical melting share to over 40% for extra-white flint glass production with a daily capacity of 170 tonnes. This innovation reduces natural gas consumption by more than 50% and avoids up to 33% of GHG emissions by integrating renewable electricity sources. It enhances energy efficiency, operational flexibility, and the glass industry's decarbonization efforts.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
