About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. ("K" LINE) signed a long-term procurement agreement for carbon-neutral bio-LNG (liquefied bio-methane, LBM) and began its continued use as fuel for its LNG-fueled car carriers. This fuel switching initiative supports the company's "K" LINE Environmental Vision 2050 goal of net-zero GHG emissions by 2050 and directly reduces emissions from its own shipping operations. Evidence: "“K” LINE is pleased to announce that it has signed an agreement to facilitate the long-term procurement of carbon-neutral bio-LNG fuel (liquefied bio methane, LBM), and it has started to use this fuel for LNG-fueled car carriers. It is expected that this procurement agreement will enable “K” LINE to reduce its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by around 60,800 tons* 1 per year." — https://www.kline.co.jp/en/news/crude_oil_and_product/crude_oil_and_product-20260401.html
