About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
SD Guthrie operates 20 biogas plants at palm oil mills to capture methane from palm oil mill effluent (POME) anaerobic ponds, directly cutting Scope 1 emissions. The program targets 30-40 plants by 2030 and coverage of all 70+ mills by 2050 as part of the net-zero 2050 roadmap. Evidence: "SDP will have more than 40 biogas plants across its operations by 2030, which will address much of the emissions from mill effluent. Up to 70% of SDP’s footprint for non-FLAG Scope 1 and 2 emissions come from methane produced from mill effluent." — https://www.sdguthrie.com/sdp-2050-netzero-emissions-commitment-roadmap
