About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
SIPEF generates renewable energy at its palm oil mills by burning palm nut mesocarp fibres and shells in boilers connected to steam turbines, powering operations and employee compounds. This uses on-site waste biomass to displace fossil fuel energy in SIPEF's own facilities. Evidence: "SIPEF generates renewable energy from milling by-products, such as fibres and shells, to power operations and employee compounds using steam turbines." — https://www.sipef.com/hq/sustainability/best-management-practices/
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
