About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Biorefinery Östrand is building the world’s first commercial-scale biorefinery to produce sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and naphtha from solid forest residues via biomass gasification, Fischer-Tropsch synthesis, and renewable hydrogen integration with a pulp mill. Half of the output will be advanced biofuels and half e-fuels, achieving 100% GHG emission avoidance compared to fossil fuels. The project anticipates avoiding 8.7 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent over its first ten years, equivalent to 870,000 tonnes annually.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
