About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The BIOZIN project aimed to build the world’s first commercial-scale drop-in biofuel production facility in Åmli, Norway, using Shell’s IH2® technology to convert forestry and sawmill residues into renewable fuels. It planned to produce annually 30 kt jet fuel, 11 kt diesel, 55 kt gasoline, and 70 kt biochar, achieving 96% relative GHG emission avoidance in the first ten years. The project was terminated after Shell withdrew investment.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
