About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
CLP Power is upgrading gas turbines at its Black Point Power Station (operated via CAPCO joint venture) across four C units from 2025 to 2028 to improve thermal efficiency by 0.7% and reduce fuel consumption and emissions. The project began with Unit C8 upgrades in 2025, achieving overall reductions in NOx, SO2, RSP, and CO2 emissions by 1%, while extending maintenance intervals for circular economy benefits. Evidence: "The Black Point Power Station (BPPS) is undertaking a Gas Turbine Enhancement Project across four “C” units from 2025 to 2028. The project commenced with the successful implementation of upgrades to Unit C8 in 2025, which included upgrading the combustors and hot gas path components within the gas turbine using a state-of-the-art design to optimise performance and efficiency." — https://sustainability.clpgroup.com/en/2025/case-studies/case-study/case-study-gas-turbine-enhancement-project-at-the-black-point-power-station
