About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
BMW Group, in partnership with Encory, commissioned the Cell Recycling Competence Center in Salching, Germany, implementing an in-house direct mechanical recycling process for battery cell production residues and pilot cells. Recovered materials are returned directly to the Cell Manufacturing Competence Center in Parsdorf, creating a closed-loop system for low-carbon battery materials in the value chain. Evidence: "The new Cell Recycling Competence Center (CRCC) in Salching in Lower Bavaria has now been officially commissioned – marking a major step forward in implementing innovative direct recycling as a joint project between the BMW Group and Encory GmbH." — https://www.press.bmwgroup.com/global/article/detail/T0454438EN/up-and-running:-bmw-group-and-encory-launch-innovative-direct-recycling-to-recover-battery-raw-materials
