About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Metso's Sorocaba foundry and rubber factory in Brazil achieved carbon-neutral certification under PAS 2060:2014 through energy efficiency measures and partnership with a local supplier for biomethane-sourced Gas Renewable Energy Certificates (GAS-RECs) to zero remaining CO2 emissions from 2023 onward. This project addresses Scope 1 and 2 emissions in Metso's own manufacturing operations. Evidence: "The most significant initiative towards acquiring the certificate was implemented during the first quarter of 2023 when the Sorocaba foundry and rubber factory partnered with a local supplier for biomethane sourced Gas Renewable Energy Certificates (GAS-RECs) enabling the units to zero their remaining CO2 emissions from 2023." — https://www.metso.com/corporate/media/news/2024/9/metsos-sorocaba-foundry-and-rubber-factory-in-brazil-has-received-carbon-neutral-certification/
