About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The Carbon4PUR project develops a innovative technology to convert mixed CO/CO2 waste gases from steel mills into polyester polyols, key intermediates for producing polyurethane plastics used in rigid foams, building insulation, and coatings. By enabling industrial symbiosis between steel and chemical industries, it reduces dependence on fossil feedstocks and lowers the carbon footprint of polyurethane production by 20-60%. The project demonstrates this CCU process at TRL 4-6, contributing to decarbonization in the chemicals and plastics sector.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
