About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The CO2ncrEAT project develops a new line of carbon-negative precast masonry blocks for the construction sector, replacing traditional cement with CO2 captured from Lhoist lime kilns and stainless steel slag aggregates from Orbix, transported via Fluxys pipeline to Prefer's plant. Using patented Carbstone® carbonation technology, the process sequesters more CO2 than emitted, achieving 176% GHG avoidance relative to reference scenarios. Annual production of 130,000 tonnes will capture 12,000 tonnes CO2 and avoid 8,000 tonnes more emissions per year.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
