About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Denka and its equity-method affiliate Toyo Styrene Co., Ltd. constructed and began operating Japan's first polystyrene chemical recycling plant at the Chiba Factory in March 2024. The facility uses Agilyx technology to chemically recycle used polystyrene into high-quality styrene monomer equivalent to virgin material, enabling circular use of materials in Denka's value chain and reducing emissions from virgin feedstock production. Evidence: "The Denka Group's chemical recycle method produces material that is equivalent to new material in quality and physical properties, and that can" — https://www.denka.co.jp/eng/storage/news/pdf/488/20240411_denka_ps_chemical_recycle_en.pdf
