About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

The Andersons installed Combined Heat and Power (CHP) systems at its Albion, Michigan, and Greenville, Ohio ethanol facilities to capture and utilize waste heat for on-site electricity and heat generation. In 2024, these systems reduced total electricity consumption at the two facilities by 15% despite increased production. This is an energy efficiency project in the company's own Renewables operations. Evidence: "at our Albion, Michigan, and Greenville, Ohio, facilities, we are leveraging Combined Heat and Power (CHP) Systems that capture and utilize heat that would otherwise be wasted to efficiently generate electricity and heat from a single source. In 2024, CHP systems reduced the total electricity consumption for the two facilities by 15%, even with a combined increase in production." — https://andecdn.andersonsinc.com/andersonsinc-umbraco-production/media/xyehirhk/publishfinal2_the-andersons_2025-sustainability-review-0724.pdf
