About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

Sumitomo Chemical completed construction of a pilot facility in Niihama City, Ehime Prefecture, Japan, to produce methanol from CO2 generated from waste incineration using a highly efficient process and hydrogen derived from renewable sources. This CCU project supports carbon neutrality goals by utilizing captured CO2 within the company's own operations at the Ehime Works.
