The CO2ncrEAT project develops cement-free, carbon-negative precast masonry blocks using CO2 captured from Lhoist's lime production and stainless steel slag by-products processed by Orbix. Fluxys transports the CO2 via pipeline to Prefer's facility for manufacturing via innovative carbonation technology. This circular initiative produces 130,000 tonnes of eco-friendly blocks annually, achieving a negative carbon footprint.
