About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Kraft Heinz was selected for up to $170 million in US DOE funding for integrated electrification, energy efficiency, and on-site renewables (heat pumps, electric boilers, solar PV/thermal, anaerobic digestors, biogas boilers, thermal storage) at 10 US manufacturing plants. The project aims to reduce annual emissions by more than 99% from 2022 levels at these sites, with energy use declining 23% and natural gas use by 97%. Technologies are intended for replication across other facilities. Evidence: "Today, The Kraft Heinz Company ... announced it has been selected for award negotiations to receive up to $170 million from the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Clean Energy Demonstration to support the implementation of clean energy projects at 10 of the Company’s U.S. plants. ... helping these locations reduce annual emissions by more than 99% from 2022 levels" — https://news.kraftheinzcompany.com/press-releases-details/2024/Kraft-Heinz-Seeks-to-Reduce-Carbon-Emissions-by-Over-99-Across-10-U.S.-Plants-With-Help-from-a-170-Million-Investment-from-U.S.-Department-of-Energy/default.aspx
