About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Babcock is conducting hydrogen trials at HM Naval Base Devonport since October 2023 in collaboration with UKSTRATCOM and Geopura. The trials include off-grid EV charging via fuel cell technology and testing hydrogen-fuelled fleet vehicles to demonstrate low-carbon fuel use at the site. Evidence: "HM Naval Base Devonport in collaboration with UKSTRATCOM, Babcock and Geopura have been conducting hydrogen trials on site since October 2023. Phase 1 of the trial provided an off-grid EV charging capability that generates electricity via fuel cell technology from within a hydrogen power unit. During Phase 2, two hydrogen-fuelled fleet vehicles were successfully trialled for a month." — https://www.babcockinternational.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Babcock-2025-Annual-Report-Sustainability.pdf
