About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

JAL is procuring and using commercially produced domestic SAF made from waste cooking oil collected in Japan via the Fry to Fly Project. The first supply to a passenger flight occurred on JAL flight JL891 from Kansai to Shanghai on May 1, 2025, marking the launch of Japan's domestic SAF supply chain for aviation. This directly reduces CO2 emissions in JAL's own flight operations. Evidence: "On May 1, 2025, domestically mass-produced SAF was supplied for the first time to a passenger flight, JAL's flight JL891 (Kansai to Shanghai Pudong) at Kansai International Airport (KIX)." — https://press.jal.co.jp/en/release/202505/008804.html

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
