About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

Ford entered a 2022 agreement with DTE Energy under the MIGreenPower program for the largest corporate renewable energy purchase from a utility in U.S. history. DTE is developing up to 650 MW of new solar capacity, including dedicated solar farms in Michigan, to supply the equivalent of 100% carbon-free electricity to Ford's Michigan manufacturing facilities by 2027. This directly reduces Scope 2 emissions from Ford's own operations. Evidence: "Our agreement, signed in 2022, was the largest renewable energy purchase by a corporation from a utility in U.S. history. Under this agreement, DTE Energy is developing up to 650 MW of new renewable energy capacity, including three new solar farms in Michigan dedicated to Ford, to expand our existing clean energy purchases, together supplying 1.47 million Renewable Energy Credits to Ford facilities annually." — https://corporate.ford.com/content/dam/na/ford/en_us/documents/corporate/reports/2026-integrated-sustainability-and-financial-report.pdf
