About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Valmet is investing EUR 2 million in a new three-megawatt electric boiler at its Yrittäjänkatu fabrics production unit in Tampere, Finland, to replace fossil fuels in heat production. The project integrates with the existing power plant and builds on the site's fossil-free electricity purchases since 2023. It forms part of Valmet's Climate Program targeting 80% CO2 reduction in own operations by 2030. Evidence: "A new three-megawatt electric boiler will be installed at the factory and integrated into the power plant’s heat production. ... by replacing the use of fossil fuels this investment will enable a further 25-50% reduction of the factory’s GHG emissions compared to current levels." — https://www.valmet.com/news/press-releases/2026/valmet-advances-toward-net-zero-production-with-new-electric-boiler-investment-at-its-tampere-yrittajankatu-production-unit-in-finland
