About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

The eM-Rhône project integrates renewable hydrogen production via 170 MW PEM electrolysers, carbon capture from Lafarge's Le Teil Blanc cement plant (195 kt CO2/y), and e-methanol synthesis to produce 138 kt/y of e-methanol, achieving 99% GHG emission reduction compared to fossil methanol production. It features innovative hydrogen storage in gaseous and solid metal hydride forms, powered by traceable renewable energy. Over the first 10 years, it is expected to avoid 2.3 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent emissions.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
