About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

ESCAP™ is an energy-saving CO₂ absorption process developed by Nippon Steel Engineering that reduces heat consumption by over 40% for separating and recovering high-purity CO₂ from flue gases compared to conventional methods. The first commercial installation at Air Water Carbonic Inc., located within Nippon Steel's Muroran Works in Japan, became operational in 2014 with a capacity to capture 44 kilotons of CO₂ annually. This project aids decarbonization in the iron and steel sector by enabling efficient CO₂ capture for utilization or storage.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
