About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The eSMR-MeOH project demonstrates sustainable methanol production from biogas using electrically heated steam methane reforming (eSMR) technology at Aarhus University's facility in Foulum, Denmark. Led by Topsoe in collaboration with Aarhus University and partners, the pilot plant has an annual capacity of approximately 10,000 liters of CO2-neutral methanol and achieves up to 85% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to traditional methods. The technology has been validated at TRL7, supporting commercial rollout and applications in green methanol and blue hydrogen production.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
