About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
IAMGOLD Essakane SA partnered to develop and operate a 15 MWp solar PV plant hybridized with the existing 57 MW HFO power plant at the Essakane gold mine in Burkina Faso. The project supplies carbon-free electricity to the mine's operations, reducing diesel fuel consumption by approximately 6 million litres per year. Evidence: "IAMGOLD Corporation today announced the signature of a power purchase agreement among IAMGOLD Essakane SA, EREN Renewable Energy SA, AREN ENERGY (PTY) Ltd. and Essakane Solar SAS to begin the development of a 15 MWp solar power plant in 2017 for the Company’s Essakane mine in Burkina Faso." — https://www.pv-magazine.com/press-releases/iamgold-partners-with-eren-renewable-energy-and-aemp-to-develop-solar-power-capacity-for-essakane-mine/
