About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
IAMGOLD Essakane SA acquired 100% ownership of Essakane Solar SAS, which operates a 12 MWac solar photovoltaic plant at the Essakane gold mine in Burkina Faso. The plant, originally developed under a PPA and commissioned in 2018, now provides on-site renewable power directly to the mine's operations, reducing reliance on heavy fuel oil generation. Evidence: "advised IAMGOLD Essakane S.A. on the 100 percent acquisition from Total Eren S.A and Chariot Transitional Power France SAS of Essakane Solar SAS, a company that operates a solar photovoltaic plant with 12-MWAC installed capacity located at the Essakane gold mine" — https://www.bracewell.com/news-events/bracewell-advises-iamgold-essakane-s-a-on-acquisition-of-essakane-solar-sas-in-burkina-faso/
