JBS Friboi captures methane from wastewater lagoons at beef processing plants and converts it to biogas for on-site electricity generation. Investment of R$17 million for generators at four plants (Ituiutaba MG and Andradina SP operational since 2023/2025; Barra do Garças MT and Mozarlândia GO upcoming), with total biodigester investment of R$77 million. Avoided 263,700 tCO2e since 2023.
