About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

JAL participates in the Fry to Fly Project to produce and supply sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) from domestic waste cooking oil. On May 1, 2025, the first commercially produced domestic SAF was supplied to a JAL passenger flight (JL891) at Kansai International Airport, marking the launch of Japan's domestic SAF supply chain for aviation decarbonization. Evidence: "On May 1, 2025, domestically mass-produced SAF was supplied for the first time to a passenger flight, JAL's flight JL891 (Kansai to Shanghai Pudong) at Kansai International Airport (KIX)." — https://press.jal.co.jp/en/release/202505/008804.html
