About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Nutrien retrofitted its conventional ammonia plant at Geismar, Louisiana to compress and sequester excess pure CO2, enabling production of approximately 200,000 tonnes of low-carbon ammonia annually. The facility has been capturing and permanently sequestering CO2 since at least 2019-2021 as part of ongoing low-carbon ammonia operations. Evidence: "It uses carbon capture and sequestration technology to reduce the carbon intensity of its ammonia production... Geismar has the capability to produce 200,000 tonnes of low-carbon ammonia annually." — https://www.nutrien.com/news/stories/low-carbon-ammonia-harnessing-decarbonization-global-scale
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
