About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
GeZero is a pioneering project by Heidelberg Materials to fully decarbonize its cement plant in Geseke, Germany, using advanced carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology with an oxyfuel process. The initiative will capture 700,000 tons of CO2 annually, establishing a complete CCS value chain including on-site capture, compression, rail transport, and permanent storage in the North Sea. Supported by €191 million from the EU Innovation Fund, it serves as a scalable model for reducing industrial CO2 emissions in the cement sector.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
