About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

The GO4ZERO project aims to produce carbon-neutral clinker and cement at Holcim's Obourg plant in Belgium by 2029, using an innovative oxyfuel kiln combined with carbon capture and storage (CCS). It will capture and purify over 1.1 million tonnes of CO2 annually from flue gases, transport it via pipeline to the Antwerp@C hub, and store it permanently under the North Sea. The initiative supports Europe's net-zero goals by demonstrating scalable decarbonization for the cement industry.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
