About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Occidental operates a 16 MW solar photovoltaic facility near Odessa, Texas, that directly powers its Goldsmith enhanced oil recovery (EOR) field operations. This on-site renewable project reduces Scope 2 emissions by replacing grid power and has been operational since 2019, with surplus power supplied to the grid. Evidence: "The Goldsmith solar facility expands on Oxy's efforts to economically lower GHG intensity by using emissions-free power sources in our operations. The 120-acre field was the first large-scale solar facility of its kind that directly powers oil and gas operations in Texas." — https://www.oxy.com/sustainability/planet/
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
