About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Industrial Promotion Services (IPS), the industrial arm of the Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development, and Westgass Internasjonal have partnered with the Government of Uganda to develop a green hydrogen-based fertilizer production facility in Karuma. The project utilizes electrolytic hydrogen produced with 100 MW of renewable energy from a local hydropower plant to synthesize ammonia for 200,000 tonnes per year of fertilizer production. This initiative aims to enhance food security by reducing fertilizer imports and promoting sustainable agriculture.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
