About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

The GREEN MEIGA project in Begonte, Galicia, Spain, develops an integrated plant to produce 100,000 tonnes per year of e-methanol using innovative hybridized hydrogen production (PEM, SOEC, Co-SOEC), advanced CO2 capture (enzyme-based and direct air), and self-sustainable synthesis technologies. It aims for 157% GHG emissions avoidance relative to reference scenarios, avoiding approximately 2.9 million tonnes of CO2e over the first ten years of operation. Coordinated by Iberdrola with partner Foresa, it supports chemical sector decarbonization, green job creation (up to 426 operational, 6,000 construction), and EU climate neutrality by 2050.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
