About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

Hankyu Corporation and Hanshin Electric Railway achieved carbon-neutral operations across their entire railway networks starting April 2025 by sourcing 100% renewable energy electricity for train operations. This insetting project directly reduces Scope 2 emissions from the group's core urban transportation business in Japan. Evidence: "In April 2025, we became the first railway operator in Kansai to achieve carbon-neutral operation across our entire network." — https://sustainable.japantimes.com/esg/278
