About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
BHP signed an agreement with HBIS Group for pilot-scale demonstrations of carbon capture and utilisation technologies at HBIS steel operations in China, including VPSA capture and utilisation via slag mineralisation and biological conversion, plus support for absorptive desulfurisation to enable use of captured CO2. This supports decarbonisation in BHP's iron ore value chain. Evidence: "BHP has signed an agreement for piloting of carbon capture and utilisation technology with China’s HBIS Group Co., Ltd (HBIS), one of the world’s largest steelmakers and a major iron ore customer of BHP." — https://www.bhp.com/news/media-centre/releases/2023/03/bhp-signs-carbon-capture-and-utilisation-pilot-agreement-with-chinas-hbis-group
