The Helios Industry Green Ammonia Plant in Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (KIZAD) is a $1 billion project that will produce 200,000 tonnes of green ammonia annually using electrolytic hydrogen from an 800 MW solar-powered facility. It represents the first such production plant in Abu Dhabi, focusing on zero-carbon ammonia for export to markets in Europe and the US. The project is currently under development and expected to commence operations by the end of 2026.
