About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

CLP Power, via its 70% interest in CAPCO within the Hong Kong LNG Terminal Limited joint venture, developed and operates the offshore LNG terminal (using FSRU technology) which commenced operations in July 2023. The project diversifies natural gas supply sources, enabling increased use of lower-carbon natural gas for power generation at Black Point and supporting Hong Kong's transition from coal, reducing power generation emissions intensity. Evidence: "CLP Power Hong Kong Limited (CLP Power) and The Hongkong Electric Co., Ltd (HK Electric) today (13 July) announced that Hong Kong’s new offshore liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal, jointly developed and constructed by the two power companies, has gone into operation." — https://www.clpgroup.com/content/dam/clp-group/channels/media/document/2023/20230713_en.pdf
