About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

The HyKembla Project at BlueScope's Port Kembla Steelworks in Illawarra, Australia, involves constructing and operating a 10 MW hydrogen electrolyser plant to produce green hydrogen for partial replacement of coal injection in the blast furnace, aiming to lower CO2 emissions in iron and steel production. This pilot initiative, in collaboration with Shell and supported by government funding, also includes a hydrogen refuelling station to facilitate low-emissions transport. The project is part of BlueScope's broader strategy to decarbonize steelmaking and transition to sustainable operations.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
