About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The EVEREST project aims to almost completely decarbonize Europe's largest lime plant in Wülfrath-Flandersbach, Germany, by building advanced lime kilns including PFRK Oxyfuel types and a CO2 capture facility using Cryocap™ technology. It covers the full CCS value chain from capture to offshore storage, capturing up to 1.4 million tons of CO2 per year and achieving a total abatement of nearly 1.6 million tons CO2e annually, with 89% relative GHG avoidance. The project supports EU climate goals, creates jobs, and enables scalable carbon-neutral lime production.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
