About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

The Ineos Antwerp CCS project is a key component of the Antwerp@C initiative, focusing on capturing CO2 emissions from Ineos's ammonia production facility in the Port of Antwerp using cryogenic capture technology. The captured CO2 will be integrated into a shared transportation infrastructure, liquefied, and exported via maritime routes for permanent offshore storage, aiming to support the halving of the port's total CO2 emissions by 2030. With construction of the CO2 backbone underway since 2025, the project is poised to commence operations in 2027, contributing significantly to regional decarbonization efforts in the chemicals sector.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
