About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The IRIS project aims to reduce the carbon footprint of Motor Oil's Agioi Theodoroi refinery in Greece by applying carbon capture technology to its Steam Methane Reformer, enabling production of ultra-low-carbon hydrogen. Most captured CO2 will be sequestered in an offshore facility in the North Aegean Sea, while a portion will produce 10,000 tonnes of e-methanol per year for mobility and industrial use. Over the first ten years of operation, the project will avoid 8.58 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent emissions.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
