About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
PetroChina operates the Jilin Oilfield CCUS project involving CO2 capture from nearby sources, EOR injection, and geological storage in the Songliao Basin. As of end-2024, over 3.5 million tonnes of CO2 have been injected and stored, making it China's highest storage CCUS project. This ongoing operational project directly cuts Scope 1 emissions in PetroChina's oil production operations. Evidence: "As of the end of 2024, over 3.50 million tonnes of CO2 have been injected and stored under Jilin Oilfield, the highest storage amount in China." — https://www.cnpc.com.cn/en/environmentcase/202504/fdc063d5b17e4ea88fd63291667afc59.shtml
