Post-combustion carbon capture project at the Guohua Jinjie Power Plant (a subsidiary of China Shenhua Energy) capturing CO2 from coal-fired power plant flue gas for utilization and storage. The project achieved 168-hour trial operation in 2021 and is recognized as China's largest full-chain post-combustion CCS demonstration for coal power at the time. Annual capture capacity is 150,000 tonnes with actual production reported around 26,000 tonnes in recent ESG disclosures.
