About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

Northern Star Resources signed a long-term PPA with Zenith Energy for a hybrid renewable system at its Jundee gold mine in Western Australia, integrating 24 MW wind, 16.9 MWp solar, and 12 MW/13.4 MWh battery storage into the existing gas power station to supply 56% of the site's power needs. This on-site renewables project reduces Scope 1 and 2 emissions from diesel/gas generation in Northern Star's own mining operations. Announced in 2023 following an early works agreement in January. Evidence: "Jundee is an existing mining operation that will have wind, solar and battery retrofit and integrated into the existing gas power station. The renewable generation being added includes 24 MW of wind, 16.9 MWp of solar, and 12 MW / 13.4 MWh of battery energy storage. This will provide 56% of the mine site’s power." — https://zenithenergy.com.au/zenith-energy-has-signed-a-renewable-energy-power-purchase-agreement-with-northern-star-resources-ltd-for-their-jundee-mining-operation-in-the-northern-goldfields-of-wa/
