About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The K6 Program project aims to produce Europe's first carbon-neutral cement by retrofitting EQIOM's Lumbres cement plant in Hauts-de-France, France, with oxy-fuel kiln and carbon capture technology. The captured CO2 will be stored in the North Sea, avoiding 8.1 Mt CO2e emissions over the first 10 years of operation. It supports job retention, local economy, and positions Dunkirk Port as a CO2 hub.<grok:render type="render_inline_citation"><argument name="citation_id">10</argument></grok:render><grok:render type="render_inline_citation"><argument name="citation_id">80</argument></grok:render>
