About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

Boliden partnered to build and operate a production facility next to the Kankberg mine producing 400–450 tonnes annually of nitrate- and ammonia-free explosives using Hypex Bio technology, covering the mine's full needs and replacing conventional explosives. This fuel switching and process change reduces blasting-related climate impact by 90% and delivers 400 tonnes CO₂ annual reduction. Boliden is the first mining company worldwide to implement this at scale, with the goal of making Kankberg the world's first nitrogen-free mine. Evidence: "In collaboration with Hypex Bio, we´re producing a new nitrate-free explosive at the Kankberg mine, that covers the mine’s entire annual need and reduce our climate impact by 400 tonnes of CO₂ annually." — https://www.boliden.com/newsroom/news--media/stories/nitrate-free-explosives/
